I also like email, because it's non-obtrusive. I encourage all those too shy to post inna public forum to attempt this mode of contact second. Take your time writing that first email to me. Make sure you tell me a little about yourself, and not the obvious; give me something to remember you by. Also, tell me why you are contacting me, and be detailed. Not just, "I really like your site", DUH! Tell me WHY you like it. The benefit for me in this method of contact, can easily be your demise, if you don't stand out.
